Poles

Coffs Harbour Hardwoods is a long standing supplier of poles to the electricity distribution industry. Poles are also supplied for pole house construction. Poles can be supplied natural round or fully desapped with CCA treatment available where required.

Power Poles and Crossarms

Power poles are produced in either CCA treated or Fully Desapped. CCA treatment is a copper based preservative that will extend the life of the pole by impregnating the sapwood layer of the pole which is more susceptible to decay than the durable heartwood. Desapped poles are poles that have had the sapwood layer removed in a planing process. This leaves the pole with a number of facets which can be varied (8 or 16) according to the final use or specification. Sawn hardwood crossarms are produced for the electricity distribution industry and can be supplied drilled and CCA treated where specified.

House/Builders Poles

Both round and desapped poles are suitable for pole frame construction and can be supplied CCA treated if required in a variety of lengths.

Bridge & Wharf

Coffs Harbour Hardwoods are specialist suppliers of structural timbers (Sawn and round Girders, Truss Timbers, Beams, Corbels and Piles etc.) used for bridge and wharf construction. Timbers for these applications are produced from the highest quality timbers available ensuring the structural integrity of the many timber structures still in use including a number of historic bridges and wharves both within Australia and overseas.

Sawn Hardwoods

Some scantling and other sawn hardwoods are available from Coffs Harbour Hardwoods on request including stair treads, landscape sleepers and fencing timbers.
